Volunteer Management 101

Volunteer Management 101

Due to the popularity of our “3 R’s of Volunteer Management” meeting last March, DOVIA-LA is offering a Volunteer Engagement 101 workshop at our Sept. 26 Education Day conference. There has been a lot of staff turn-over in the nonprofit world in the past year, and we want to help people who are new to the field of volunteer management, as as more experienced professionals. The ‘101’ workshop will cover the basics: identifying your organizational needs, and recruiting and retaining the right volunteers. If you know someone that is new to the field, please encourage them to attend the conference, and feel free to have them contact anyone of the DOVIA board for advice or mentoring. We’re here to help! Register by Sept. 24 at http://doviaeducationday2014.eventbrite.com.
